Top Tips for a Perfect Party!
For Parties taking place at Emmabelle's Emporium
When you book your party at Emmabelle's Emporium, our bespoke fairytale themed venue, all you will need to do is invite the guests, and turn up! It really is the most easy and stress free way to ensure a truly dazzling birthday experience in a beautifully decorated setting.
Walk into our magical mini-palace, and put your feet up whilst all mini princesses and princess are led through a full schedule of fun activities with one of our trained party performers. If a lunch break is needed, we can even include the food! Or you are of course welcome to bring your own too.
(Additional charge applies to add on a food package)

* Other entertainment/activities? *
When you book with Emmabelle's, you won't need to book any other entertainment! Whilst we are there, you honestly don't need to worry about a thing. Since 2014 we have been practising and perfecting our packages to ensure you get a fully inclusive experience in regards to the entertainment side of the party, and we make sure the activities we provide are enjoyed by all guests (including boys!). If you book one of our 60 minute+ packages, any extras such as bouncy castles, soft play or similar tend to be a distraction and can prevent us from carrying out our schedule as planned. In order to get the most from our services, we suggest leaving out the bouncy castle, or if you'd still like to book extra activities to fill time either side of our visit, we request that this is deflated for the time we are with you.
* What happens when your performers arrive? *
To ensure your experience is as magical as possible, we do not require set up time on arrival, and we will be fully costumed and ready to go! We will arrive at the time confirmed on your booking form, having made sure all of the required preps are done in advance - we don't bring along any big bulky advertising banners to display at your event either! Our number one priority is magic, and we don't want the children to see us as booked entertainment, but rather a special guest who has come to visit for their special day!
* When is best to invite guests? *
We recommend asking your guests to arrive 10-15 minutes before the time you have booked our characters for, to ensure no one misses the magic!
* When to serve food? *
For all of our packages 90 minutes and under, we recommend serving party food at the end of our visit - food is a great distraction for us to make an exit!
If you book our two hour package option, we find a food break in the middle of the two hours works well (at this time the characters will be taking the time to walk around and have one-on-one interactions with the children whilst they are eating, our performers will not take a break at this time). For parties covering the whole 'lunch hour' of 12pm - 1pm a break for food will be required.
For two hour parties outside of these times (finishing by 12:30pm or starting from 1pm) if you would prefer to serve party food following the two hours, we ask that you have drinks and snack available for a quick break for the children in the middle of the party, especially if it is a warm day.
For our 30 or 40 minute visit option, especially if other entertainment or activities are present, it can also work well to have our characters arrive for the final half hour of the party, after the children have eaten, so that our characters are a special surprise at the end!
* Hall or Home? *
We can host our activities wherever is best for you to hold the party! We just ask that there is enough space for guests and our performers to move freely, and keep in mind that some of our princesses wear quite large ballgowns!
A few extra Party Planning Tips!

Theme It Up!
Choosing a theme can elevate your party to the next level! With so many awesome themes available the options are endless. Get your little ones involved in selecting their favourite theme—this makes for a personal touch and a fun planning experience!
When we visit you at your chosen venue we absolutely love seeing what wonderful theming you have put together!

Delicious Delights
Food is a key component of any party. Consider a mix of healthy options and tasty treats—mini sandwiches, fruit skewers, and of course, cake! Think finger foods that little hands can easily manage. If you wanted to go all our with theming there are some amazing ideas that you can find on Pinterest and Instagram. And don’t forget to check for allergies so no one misses out.
For parties taking place at our Emporium, we can include catering as an add on to any of our packages. If you'd like to discuss options just make a note on your booking form and we will be in touch.

Exciting Invites
Creating the perfect invitation is a great way to set the tone for the celebration and to build excitement! Firstly, choose a design that reflects the party theme. Once chosen, ensure all key details are included, such as the date, time, venue, RSVP information, what to wear, and to make you aware of allergies.
Don't forget to send out invitations well in advance, ideally around a month before, so your guests can pop it in their diary before the weekend gets too busy!
If booking an Emporium party, we do include invite design on request for no extra charge!

Fabulous Favours
Keep party favours simple, fun, age-appropriate and easy for parents to say 'yes' to! A few small, themed goodies often go down better than lots of filler items that end up forgotten. Think stickers, bubbles, or a sweet treat – items that kids can enjoy straight away or take home to play with later.
If your party has a theme, try to match the favours for an extra touch of magic!

Event Attendees
Before inviting the whole class (and their cousins!), think about how many little whirlwinds you can realistically host, and if there are any limits for the package or venue you have booked.
Larger parties are definitely a lot of fun, however we find that smaller guest counts make it a more special experience for the birthday girl/boy, and allows for extra one-on-one time with their favourite character.
Don't forget to set an RSVP date! Setting an RSVP deadline saves you from last-minute surprises and makes planning much easier.

Choosing a Venue
Choosing the perfect venue for a children’s party can be quite the task, as it sets the tone for a memorable celebration. Whether it’s our Emporium, your living room, a local hall or a castle, pick a spot that can comfortably handle your guest list and party plans. Bonus points for easy parking!
Accessibility is equally important, ensuring that all guests can comfortably reach the location.

Woeful Weather
Living in the UK we all know that sunshine can't be guarenteed - even in the middle of summer! If you are planning an ourside celebration and the weather forecast isn't looking great a few days before the party, don’t let rain ruin the fun! Make sure you have an indoor backup, or a strong gazebo plenty big enough to comfortably accommodate everyone.
Shelter isn't just for rain either - another important note for outside parties is to make sure there is a large shaded area for if the sun does shine, and plenty of water available to all.
Treasured Memories

Don’t forget to snap those priceless moments — whether it’s the look on little one's faces when their favourite princess arrives or a sugar-high sugar crash at the end of the party! Pick someone to be the official photographer, but keep it fun and relaxed.
Bonus: We have seen parents use some fabulous photo sharing apps for party photos! Consider downloading one and printing a few QR codes to put around your venue for other parents to scan and upload. Then all of your magical memories can be viewed in one place!
